On the verge of forgetting.

I apologize for forgetting that I have a blogger blog! I admit, I had writer’s block for like half a year- and there are reasons for that.

I was so uninspired for a long time, probably because I became work-absorbed, I miss my family back home, I miss my friends, and I think I hit a wall or something. Don't take that literally.

I’ve been keeping a notebook though…take a look what’s inside and you’ll find nothing in there, for real! Now I know that I’ve got to write more, even tho I dont read a lot of books/newspapers, it’s a way to release all my emotions.

Picture spam- Summer Inspirations

Haven't been blogging lately. I've been preoccupied with this thing called work, haha. Anyway just wanna let u know that we have moved to an apartment already! It's cozy and I know it's enough for us. Thank God for this.

Why don't I post something cool? Alrighty. Since it's summer in this side of the world, here are some summery photos.

I MISS LOTS OF STUFF.

Here's a list man, brace yourselves.
  • I miss my nanay and lola (grandmoms) and everyone back home. Hope they're safe and ok.
  • I miss my friends.
  • I miss riding the LRT.
  • I miss riding jeepneys.
  • I miss walking at thatwobbly EDSA Taft bridge.
  • I miss our house.
  • I miss doing radio- or even listening to Philippine radio stations.
  • I miss those tiny bits of inspiration from celebrities. Makes sense?
  • I miss Thea.
  • I miss going to SM Manila with no money in my pocket. Broke ass.
  • I miss some things that I NEVER HAD, and people I'VE NEVER MET.

Caught up.

I promised myself that I will blog so here you go.

411? Okay so my big fat baby brother (whom I love dearly to the utmost) just went to summer camp, it's gonna be until August 15. I am not happy about that at all, but the thing is, he's gonna earn money out of it, because he's gonna work! It will pay off big time I tell you. He's with my uncle, I hope they both get along great though. I DON'T EVER WANT HIM TO GO THERE AGAIN.

Work? Ummm, it's fine, it's not like I have a problem with it but since we're moving out the house to an apartment, might as well tell my supervisor that I kind of need some adjustments with my shifts. I pray to God that she won't have a problem w/ it or anything.

How's life? Social life you mean or just life? I DON'T HAVE A SOCIAL LIFE. I'm fine with that, but I know I gotta make friends. I've been thinking about it lately. I know it's great, it will soon be better once we finally establish:)

My first legit job.

Tim Horton's Saves the Day, originally uploaded by VancityAllie.

So you see I got myself a job already. Thank God. I now work at a coffee shop called Tim Horton's! I started just this Monday and I gotta say, it's one heck of a job! Thought it was easy breezy but of course, we know for a fact that there's no easy job. I can tell you fo sure, once I get the hang of everything that I need to do, I will be awesome. Just not yet right now, cause I just started:) Now I got to practice more of my listening skills, since i am not yet used to people talking fast on a daily basis. Well, I'll get there. I just hope all of this is worth it.

Sexuality.

Ok seriously speaking, I don't think I'll ever be open to dating both sexes, that means I'd only be able to go for girls. But that's not how I want it to be, cause in the world that I live in, when someone dates a person of the same gender, they instantly get bashed or talked about but are we really those kind of people? I don't think so. We should not care about what other people think of our preferences cause if we do, then we choose to live through others' opinions thus not having a chance to be happy.

I'll give you an example, you're a guy who dates girls all the time and you realize that all the girls you date don't wanna take it to the next level, just casual flings...and then you share a drink with your guy best friend, then things turn to "yo, dude" to "dude, just one night please?", you engage in such activity that made you think over things, then you wake up next day feeling awesome, then things turn to something you're looking forward to. You found love. You then tell other people about this new thing, they judge you for it, you suddenly feel like it's "us against the world". What do you do? Same goes for girls who are in the same situation.

That's just one of the many things I wonder about. Since I don't know who I really am, I want to get a dose of it to find out.

Flying (02/15/10)

I'm a mess.
I don't know where to go, who to turn to.
I'm on the edge of losing it, but no I won't.

Indifferent, that's how i feel
I'm hurt, yes one too many times.
I want to be insensitive from now on.

I'd rather go away than be here
Won't make much difference if I stay
I'd feel worse if I do.

But there's one thing I'm looking forward to
And that is, being able to finally fly
I'd risk the jitters, just to know how that feels.

Pen, Paper & Books.

So I'm reading a book "The Last Song" by Nicholas Sparks, my cousin, Bea recommended it to me and so far I'm doing a pretty good job of fulfilling my resolution to finally read a book this year. I love it when i learn new words and they get stuck in my head that I use it often.

One more thing. I'm actually writing this story which is inspired by the book. I think i'm getting there, I will post it here once I'm ready:)

BTW, I went to school while ago and man, I saw/witnessed real poetry there. Miss Kooky Tuason is such an awesome awesome person. You gotta love her.

BLESSED BEYOND BELIEF

This 2009 I've been blessed beyond belief, and now that it’s closing, it’s just fitting to say that I am thankful for every blessing God gave me and my family. Without him I’d be nothing. 2010 coming baby. Let’s all pray for our intentions that they may all come true and yes let’s all have fun tonight with the parties and the dinner. Keep safe with the fireworks and whatnot and don’t forget to say shabba!!! (A word I got from Sarah & Vicky- you dolls rock! I had a fun talk with you a while ago. *smiles*)

Happy new year to all and once again, shabba!!!

Yearender blog 2009.

Here’s my list for 09memories, inspired by a trending topic on twitter.

Back in January, I was able to go to Star City again for a requirement in school. I was like a kid again.

It was February when my mom underwent thyroidectomy, we stayed in Makati Med for a week and I remember crying me eyes out because I couldn’t filter my emotions, thank God my mom’s doing fantastic now.

I went to audition for a radio program with my best friend back in March. Unfortunately we weren’t able to make it. I felt bad at first but it was definitely worth going for.

Summer of this year we went to Antipolo for swimming. It was awesome.

I applied as a student jock for Mellow 94.7’s student program, this time I was able to pass. I met new friends, I learned the basics of radio, I was able to get some party favors and movie premiere passes courtesy of the station. So yeah, it was a dream come true for me. By the way, I was able to board 3 times, that meaning I was able to go on-air and played music.

I switched sections for first semester sophomore year. I gained new friends, I learned a lot that semester.

I was able to go places this year! Boystown in Marikina was amazing, Cainta and all the east cities of Metro Manila I was able to pass. I was able to go to Manaoag, Pangasinan with my family for a holy trip back in May and also in Novaliches where SHE lives hahaha I tell you it’s pretty far.

This year I also met *toot*. Do you know why I don’t ever mention his name? It’s because I have this fear that you might think I’m demented. Even though we had a short time of knowing each other, I am sure that we built something there, I even felt something there (I’m sure he did too) BROMANCE MUCH? No way man! Even though I’m a straight guy who’s comfortable with my sexuality, I kind of imagined things but oh well, things happen and I know now who’s the one girl I’m going for and I’m sure. There was a promise, there was a promise.

I was close to doing a live feed and update on-air when I was at the stick-on. It didn’t happen.

I won’t forget the Acquaintance party in Alchemy! So much dancing, booze (not for me) and pretty girls.

ONDOY- Who won’t forget that name? I and 3 of my friends were heck close to being washed away in EDSA by the typhoon, I thank God we were able to make it home safe, I pray for those who were killed.

I sang on national radio. That’s something memorable for me.

I trash-blogged my friend, I regret doing that. I’m thankful that we’re okay now.

I watched a movie alone! It was a different experience for me, it made me tear up. The Time Traveler’s Wife is a movie I won’t forget. I and my bestfriend watched This Is It and after that we watched another movie in SM! It was fuuuuuun.

I do hope that next year will be as great, because we could only hope for something better. We are just waiting right now for our VISA and then we’re good to leave, after my kuya graduates from college. It’s going to be awesome.

New slate.

So my friends and I settled what we have been feeling a while ago at school. It was really nice that you know, we managed to overcome something that we couldn’t control- MISUNDERSTANDINGS. To tell you honestly I didn’t want our group to ever be dissolved cause first, we have built trusts with each other and second, we had time to accept each and everyone for who we are no matter how different we seem from each other. WE LOVE. I think that we have a strong friendship.

I deleted my last entry about my friend, I felt so bad because I didn’t think she’ll read it. Some person managed to let her read it, I dunno why, maybe that person hates my guts for writing what I feel but either way I’ll just leave it to karma. I am happy that even though she read it, she still didn’t think differently of me, I told her that clearly I wasn’t thinking about our friendship when I wrote it and I apologized for posting a blog about her. I really do hope everything’s okay with us, and with our group. Lesson learned- THINK BEFORE YOU ACT. That one goes out not just to me but to everyone who had been in the same situation. Thank you Lord for letting us work this out.

Nothing can tear our friendship apart.

We Rocked Them Speakers.

I would just like to blog about this, so don't argue. I just had my 3rd radio boardwork with fellow SOJ/ awesome awesome person, Jinny! This was an awesome third boardwork cause everytime we board, we just keep on having more and more fun though this time I've got 2 mistakes that I thought I'll never make, that was TO TURN OFF THE MIC WHILE A SONG IS PLAYING. I didn't why I forgot about it but we carried it like pros though, hopefully Sir Chris wasn't mad or anything. He even gave us a treat, Cheeseburger Meal from Mcdo! I thought it was very kind of him. We played songs from the 90's and we had movie moments as our topic. To Jinny, dear you are awesome, so glad we teamed up and keep being your superwoman self, and to Sir Chris, Ate Chloe and Ms. Alex, a big thank you. Mellow 94.7, sounds good!

My Little act of Kindness.

Typhoon Ondoy may have left this part of the country in the worst conditions it ever had in a very long time, with people still trying to find their loved ones and re-establishing themselves after the damage, it's nice to know that there are foundations which are selflessly devoting their time to help in donating relief goods. That's why I decided to help out, with my friend Bernard (supposedly we were 4, but the 2 girls backed out for some weird reason). We went to Operation Tulong Bayan in Araneta Center and volunteered. It was quite an experience I'm telling you.

We never thought there was so much work needed! But anyhow, we managed (of course we did). First, we were asked to carry heavy boxes of C2, canned goods and mineral water., then we were lined up and we filled the relief packs with each of the stuff that was there, the girl beside me (from U.P.) carried more boxes of water than I did whenever we ran out, plus she's beautiful and lean (impressed I am). Moving on, we stood there for a good 3 hours packing relief goods, I didn't count but pretty much I'll say we packed over 500, and that's good. We ended at noon cause the next batch will be doing their share as well, it was very tiring but definitely worth our time.

It's nice to know that there are still people who care (I'm talking about the other students who joined, as well as the young adults and everyone), they gave their time to help out and I pray to God that everything's gonna get better for those who were affected by Ondoy. I think it's a big help to those in Rizal, Marikina and else where that relief goods are needed. Smile.

State Of Play.

A team of investigative reporters work alongside a police detective to try to solve the murder of a congressman's mistress.

Besides blogging I would like to have this page full of interesting stuff, like movies I've watched. This is my first review, the 2009 movie "State Of Play". I first saw this on the Today Show, they guested Russell Crowe and Rachel McAdams last summer and I told myself "could be interesting", and when it came out here I was unaware, but maybe they had this ready for DVD already so I guess that's why I didn't catch any movie posters at the mall. The movie, is really dark, i mean the setting and the whole vibe of it but the story/plot is really something, I liked how it is all about news reporting and nothing else, there's a whole lot of framing and politics going on in this movie and that pleased me. I love the cast so much by the way, great actors.
